Having recently read Christopher Alexander’s 1974 book ‘Notes on the Synthesis of Form’, d.school professor Ashish Goel draws some comparisons between design thinking as taught at the d.school and Alexander’s work.
Goel argues that when looking for solutions to problems, the hint to where the strongest forces lie is in the ‘misfits’.
