Team Celebration

Celebrate every member of the team in style.

A chance to celebrate each and every person on the team. We’ll agree a series of award categories (enough for one per person) and then agree which team member should be awarded each category.

In depth

A little more detail.

It’s time to celebrate. We’ll agree a series of award categories (enough for one per person) and then agree which team member should be awarded each category.

We’ll agree awards by committee so that no-one goes home empty handed.

Your categories may be silly, serious or a combination of both.  They might include:

  • Best spirit animal sculpture
  • Best dinner party guest choice
  • Best self portrait on Team Top Trumps
  • Most supportive team mate
  • Best dressed team mate
  • Team mate who constantly surprises us
  • Team hero (who’s saved the day; today or another time)
  • Most focused team mate
  • Joker of the team (the one who actually makes us laugh day in, day out)

You can choose to provide prizes to be handed out at the session or just award the awards for fun.

BRIEF Facilitation notes

How to run it.

When to use it

Use Team Celebration to recognise everyone on the team. Agreeing a set of award categories, one per person, and deciding who wins each ensures no one goes home empty handed and ends a session on warmth and laughter.

Use it when

  • A session or project is ending and deserves a celebration.
  • You want everyone to feel seen and appreciated.
  • The team could do with laughter and a lift in morale.

Not the right tool when

  • You want structured feedback on strengths. Use Strengths Consequences.
  • The focus is reflecting on next steps. Use Making It Happen.
