Grow the mindset that makes everything else easier.
A 90-minute session on Carol Dweck's Growth Mindset research: what it is, how to recognise your own fixed-mindset patterns, and how to shift them. You'll leave with a clearer picture of the thoughts and triggers that get in your way, and practical strategies to respond differently.

Understand what Growth Mindset is and what the research shows about its impact on performance and potential
Recognise your own fixed-mindset triggers and the situations where they show up most reliably
Develop practical strategies to interrupt those patterns and respond with curiosity rather than self-protection
There is a version of ability that says you either have it or you don't. Most of us absorbed this belief without anyone saying it directly.
What would change about the way you work if you genuinely believed your abilities could grow?
Most people have heard of Growth Mindset. Fewer have examined how much of their daily behaviour is still shaped by the opposite belief. The voice that says "I'm not really a strategic thinker" or "feedback like that just puts me off" or "this is how I handle pressure" is often quieter than the framework suggests. But it's there, and it shapes decisions, effort, and response to failure in ways that are entirely predictable.
The session runs for 90 minutes. These often work well over lunch, and this timing can be flexed to suit your schedule.

A strong component within a wider programme. The session gives people practical strategies to interrupt unhelpful patterns under pressure.
No full team to bring? Individuals and small groups can join a scheduled open session and learn alongside people from other organisations.

Every engagement starts the same way: a 30-minute call to understand the team, the situation, and what good would look like. From there, we agree the shape of the workshop together.
“James has great integrity, is down to earth and a really nice guy too. He brings a practical and clear approach to creativity tools and techniques, and strips out the mystique and the b*llsh*t which is no small accomplishment.”
