Executive Coaching.

For senior leaders and CEOs.

One-to-one coaching to help leaders sharpen decision-making, build confidence, strengthen their leadership style and achieve meaningful results. Practical, focused, and grounded in the real world.

Why work with a coach

As you move up, the feedback gets quieter.

The challenges get bigger. The stakes get higher. And the feedback that used to come naturally, from a peer, a manager, a colleague who'd push back, mostly stops. Most senior leaders are operating with a feedback gap they don't fully see, and don't have a structured way to close.

  • A confidential sounding board for the decisions that don't have an obvious right answer.
  • Structured time to clarify priorities and focus on what actually matters most.
  • Support for the hard parts of leadership: confidence, resilience, the conversations you keep postponing.
  • A coach who will challenge you, not just agree with you. You can already find people who agree.
Working with me

Four things you can count on.

The shape of every coaching engagement, regardless of the topic or the seniority of the leader. These are the conditions that make the work useful.

one

In-depth partnership

I am your trusted coach, offering ongoing support and guidance to ensure you stay on track long after the sessions. Your sounding board, and where it's useful, your accountability partner.

two

Tailored solutions

Each session is designed to fit your specific challenges and goals. I draw on a range of proven tools and techniques, customised to your needs, mindset, and aspirations.

three

Psychological safety

A safe, open space where you can be honest and vulnerable without fear of judgement. The tough issues and the uncomfortable ideas get a place to be examined properly.

four

Clear next steps

Every session ends with actionable steps to move forward. No jargon, no fluff, just clear practical direction that helps you make real progress between now and the next session.

Areas we focus on

Six places the work tends to land.

Coaching is shaped by what you bring, but most engagements concentrate around a familiar set of leadership challenges. These are the areas that come up most often.

one

Leadership Development

Refining decision-making, managing teams more effectively, driving results. Building confidence, improving influence, cultivating leadership behaviours that inspire others.

two

High-Performance Mindset

The mindset needed for consistent, high-level performance. Goal-setting, decision-making, developing the mental resilience to push through pressure and complexity.

three

Personalised Strategy

Sharpening your vision, refining your approach, developing a roadmap for the next phase. A clear, actionable strategy tailored to your unique strengths and ambitions.

four

Executive Presence

The ability to lead with authority, communicate with impact, and build trust with teams and stakeholders. How you show up in the room, and how that shapes what people decide to follow.

five

Overcoming Challenges

From imposter syndrome to navigating organisational change. The personal and professional obstacles that are quietly holding you back from reaching your full potential.

six

Time Management & Focus

Boosting productivity and staying focused on what truly matters. Tackling distractions, refining priorities, and creating systems that make the most of your time without burning you out.

How it works

A four-step rhythm.

one

Initial goals session

We define your objectives, the context you're working in, and how we'll measure whether the coaching is making the difference it needs to.

two

Regular sessions

Typically 90-minute one-to-ones every two to four weeks. Enough frequency to maintain momentum, enough space between sessions for the work to land.

three

Support between

Ongoing email and call access between sessions, for the questions and decisions that can't wait. Light-touch, but available when it matters.

four

Follow-up reviews

Regular check-ins to make sure the work is still on the right track, and to adapt the focus as your context shifts. Coaching that stays useful.

My coaching style

I'm not here to tell you what you want to hear.

I am here to help you sharpen your thinking, navigate the trickiest parts of leadership, and make decisions that actually stick. I work best with senior leaders who want to think more clearly, lead more effectively, and build momentum on the things that matter.

The work is structured but flexible, challenging but supportive, focused on practical outcomes rather than theory. Some sessions are about surfacing what is really going on under the surface of a problem. Others are about clearing roadblocks, making decisions and setting direction. I'll bring whichever is most useful to the moment.

We track everything using a shared Miro board, and I provide written summaries and action points after every session. That way we stay focused, build momentum, and embed the shifts we make over time, rather than only in the moment.

Part 1

Deep, reflective thinking. The discipline of slowing down a problem until what is actually going on becomes visible. The conversations that change what you choose to do.

Part 2

Sharp, tool-based execution. The frameworks and operating practices that turn a decision into a behaviour, and a behaviour into a result. Clean, repeatable, useful.

James created a space where open, honest dialogue could flourish, and because of that we are now operating with greater unity, purpose, and collaboration.

Common questions.

What is executive coaching, in practice?

A structured one-to-one process for senior leaders who want to improve performance, make better decisions, and grow their impact. The focus is on practical, actionable strategies, not theory, so you can tackle the real challenges of the role you actually have.

Who is it for?

CEOs, senior executives, emerging leaders, and high-potential managers. Whether you are leading through significant change, stepping into a bigger role, or building confidence and influence at the level you have just reached, coaching gives you a confidential, objective space to think and grow.

How does the process work?

It starts with a detailed conversation about your goals and context. Together we define priorities, then meet regularly, typically every two to four weeks, to work through challenges, sharpen decision-making, and build confidence. Every session ends with clear next steps. We can also use tools like 360 Feedback to bring in different perspectives from the team around you.

What topics tend to come up?

Strategic thinking and decision-making, developing executive presence and communication, leading through change, confidence and resilience, building high-performing teams. Sessions are always tailored to your needs, and often link to wider team work such as leadership offsites or facilitated workshops.

How much does it cost?

Cost depends on the scope: the number, length and regularity of sessions, whether we include tools like 360 Feedback, and whether the coaching sits alongside workshops or offsites. I work primarily with CEOs, senior executives and leadership teams, so coaching is a premium service tailored to your goals. For a proposal with pricing options, get in touch and I'll recommend an approach that fits.

Next step

Bring a real problem to the first session.

The trial session works best when you bring something specific. A decision you are wrestling with, a relationship that's not working, a transition you're about to make. Let's get into it properly.
