Novice or Expert

Pair up for two-way reverse mentoring.

We pair more experienced participants up with those just starting out, for a spot of reverse mentoring - each taking turns to coach and advise the other. The experts can guide the newbies, who in turn can provide fresh perspectives.

A little more detail.

Learning from a more experienced colleague or industry figure can prove immensely valuable, enabling faster progress and routes around common mistakes. Conversely, less experienced participants can help others see new opportunities or provide fresh impetus.

This is a simple discussion-based activity where we pair up participants with their polar opposites - in this case those with more or less experience. They compare notes and approaches, helping each other see things from their perspective.

We direct participants to take equal turns so the more experienced partner doesn't dominate the discussion!

  • You want newcomers supported and experienced people refreshed.
  • Knowledge and perspective are worth exchanging both ways.

Not the right tool when
